An Exciting Limo Ride

Alyssa, my niece, recently got engaged. We are all quite pleased for her because her fiancé is a beautiful young man and they seem to be a good match, but we are also little worried. Because of how incredibly passionate their romance has been, they could have inflated expectations for the ups and downs of marriage on a daily basis.

Even the beginning of their relationship could have been the plot of a romantic story. Alyssa and Dan, who are both Americans, met in Paris, and no less than in front of the Louvre. While on vacation, Alyssa and her sisters approached a lovely young man who was passing by to take their photo. Dan was pleased to comply because he had taken a few extra days during a work trip to do some sightseeing. Once they returned to the United States, they continued to talk, went out to lunch, exchanged emails, visited, and eventually, Dan asked for a transfer so he could live closer to her.

Dan kept up the romance by organizing a trip to Boston for a wine tour after they had been dating for a year. He made his proposal to Alyssa during the journey in the luxurious back seat of an Orange County limo. In keeping with his traditional tendencies, he already had her parents' approval and had the diamond from his grandmother's ring fixed in a lovely setting.

Naturally, Alyssa was overjoyed, and ever since then, she has made sure to wave her hands a lot when speaking, just in case her listener hasn't spotted the new sparkler on her ring finger. The two are already preparing for a stunning fall wedding, complete with a chapel in the woods, a horse-drawn carriage, and rooms arranged at a historic inn for the guests.

How could marriage, with its responsibilities for bills, budgeting, housework, and headaches, possibly measure up to the bar set by such a passionate courtship? The only thing that worries me and Alyssa's mother is that. Jobs, financial concerns, and children in particular inevitably require their own attention.

Of course, the core of Dan and Alyssa's relationship is solid and loving, and they cherish the memories of their early days together. With such a strong beginning, they'll undoubtedly find methods to maintain their relationship while remembering to make time for one another. Maybe they'll get the chance once in a while to sneak out for another unforgettable trip in an Orange County limo or a trip to Paris. Spending time and effort on each other should keep them on the romantic route they've set out on, even if it's just to Paris, Texas instead of Paris, France.
